Christina and Braiden first met at the Olympia Restaurant – Christina’s family’s restaurant, and now their wedding venue. It was only a brief interaction, but afterward, Braiden declared, “I’m going to marry that girl.” Not long after, while Christina was on a solo trip to Greece, Braiden flew across the world to surprise her. Their time together was an early glimpse at something truly special beginning to unfold.

Their love for travel has taken them on multiple backpacking trips – their first being a three-week trip through Portugal, Spain, and Morocco. From sleeping in a rental car to navigating a Spanish hospital with Google Translate, and meeting fellow Canadians who somehow had ties to Kawartha Lakes – it was a wild, unforgettable adventure that cemented their passion for exploring together.

Six days into their 2025 trip to Greece, Braiden proposed in the mountains near the village where Christina’s grandparents were born. It was a deeply meaningful place to begin the next chapter of their story – one that continued with family visits, scenic views, and the joyful buzz of being newly engaged in a place that already felt like home.

Now, surrounded by the people they love most, Christina and Braiden are stepping into their next chapter. It’s the day they begin this incredible new journey together – and they couldn’t be more excited to share it with all of you!
